1. Type
Solar photovoltaic panel is the conversion of solar energy into electricity, the more practical monocrystalline silicon, polysilicon, amorphous silicon three kinds of solar cells.
(1) The performance parameters of monocrystalline silicon solar photovoltaic panels are relatively stable, suitable for use in the southern region where there are more rainy days and less sunlight.
(2) polysilicon solar photovoltaic panel production process is relatively simple, the price is lower than monocrystalline silicon, suitable for use in the eastern and western regions with sufficient sunlight and good sunshine.
(3) amorphous silicon solar photovoltaic panels have relatively low requirements for solar lighting conditions, and are suitable for use in places where outdoor sunlight is insufficient.
2. Working voltage
The working voltage of the solar photovoltaic panel is 1.5 times that of the supporting battery voltage to ensure normal charging of the battery. For example, 4.0-5.4V solar cells are needed to charge 3.6V batteries; To charge a 6V battery requires 8~9V solar cells; Charging a 12V battery requires 15-18V solar cells.
3. Output power
The output power per unit area of solar photovoltaic panels is about 127 Wp/m2. Solar photovoltaic panels are generally composed of multiple solar photovoltaic panels in series, and its capacity depends on the total power consumed by the light source, the line transmission components, and the local solar radiation energy. The output power of solar photovoltaic panels should be more than 3 to 5 times of the power of the light source, and the area with rich light and short lighting time is more than (3 to 4) times; On the contrary, it is more than (4-5) times.

The battery stores the electricity emitted by the solar panels when there is light, and then releases it at night when lighting is needed.
1. Type
(1) Lead-acid (CS) battery: used in low temperature and high rate discharge, low capacity, most solar street lights are used. Seal maintenance-free, low price. But pay attention to prevent lead acid pollution, should be phased out.
(2) Nickel cadmium (Ni-Cd) battery: high discharge rate, good low temperature performance, long cycle life, small system, but should pay attention to prevent cadmium pollution.
(3) nickel metal hydride (Ni-H) battery: high rate discharge, good low temperature performance, cheap, pollution-free, green battery. Can be used for small systems, this product should be strongly promoted. There are three kinds of lead-acid maintenance-free batteries, ordinary lead-acid batteries and alkaline nickel-cadmium batteries that are widely used.
2. Battery connection
When connected in parallel, the imbalance between each cell should be considered, and the number of groups should not exceed four. When installing, pay attention to the anti-theft problem of the battery.
